4.0 out of 5 stars Very sturdy and easy to mount but a bit difficult to tilt and articulate, January 11, 2011

SUMMARY:
I got this mount for a Samsung PN50C7000 TV. I was researching mounts on monoprice.com, but this came out to about the same price delivered on sale as comparable mounts there and I had the flexibility of being able to take it back to Costco locally if I didn't like it. It easily holds up the 54lbs, 50" TV without any major, noticeable sag. Overall, I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5, taking off a star off for the arms not being easy to move in and out and 1 star off for the terrible tilting function.

ABOUT MOUNT:
Out of the box, the front plate was very off center. It worried me for a second until I realized you can easily adjust that. It was actually very simple to adjust after getting the mount up on the wall and before putting the TV on it. Just loosen the 4 bolts that attach the front plate, level, and tighten back up. It is designed that way, but I would still think that out of the box, it should have been leveled already. No big deal though... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars A great TV Mount for your TV, April 22, 2011

I recently purchased a Panasonic 42" Plasma TV and didn't want our son or dog to knock over our expensive TV. After some research I found the Kanto KMFMX2 mount to be the best under $200 TV mount for my goal. I wanted a TV mount that would take roughly twice the weight of our TV (45 lbs X 2 = 90 lbs) that had two arms and attached to two sets of studs. This mount takes nearly 3 times my weight requirement and is surprisingly adjustable.

I received the mount in short order and had it installed in roughly an hour and a half. One needs to take a bit of time to figure out where you want it installed as my instructions where clear how to mount it to the wall but not clear as to placement. I placed the back brackets on our TV and measured the distance to the top of our TV. After locating the two studs nearest our mounting location I located the center and the top height that I wanted our TV and then measured down the distance below where the back bracket is mounted and this... 5.0 out of 5 stars Better mount with easier install, May 21, 2012

I highly recommend this handing type of wall mount over other types. It is rugged and easy to install. It also allows substantial left-right rotation as long as it is pulled out from the wall. It provides a modest amount of up-down tilt. I would like more.
This mount allows you to install the wall portion without the brackets that are bolted to the flat screen. After locating studs, I drilled the recommended holes and mounted to wall portion of the bracket with the lag screws supplied. This part of the bracket is heavy. It weighs much more than my 42 inch flat screen.

After that wall portion is mounted with 4 lag screws, I mounted the two hanger brackets on the back of the flat screen using bolts provided. I was able to just lift the flat screen with those hangers installed and hang it on the wall portion of the bracket. There are two screws that lock the hanging portion of the bracket to the wall portion of the bracket. You do not need to hold the TV while... Read more
