The Olympus E-P2 is a 12.3-megapixel interchangeable lens camera, blending the high-quality still images of a DSLR with High Definition (HD) video, stereo Linear PCM audio recording and in-camera creativity all inside an ultra-portable, easy-to-use body.

The camera's In-body Image Stabilization system compensates for up to four shutter speed steps with any of the system's interchangeable lenses. Mechanical Image Stabilization automatically compensates for camera shake in low-light situations or when using a telephoto lens. Electronic image stabilization is used to compensate for shake when recording in movie mode (HD and standard).

The E-P2 also brings a twist to the PEN lineup: an accessory port which accommodates the optional VF-2 electronic view finder or optional external microphone adapter (SEMA-1).
